In Short:
Brazil’s agricultural exports continued to gain ground this year, reaching $72 billion from January to November — a 5% increase from the same period in 2024. Export volumes rose 1.7%, underscoring steady demand despite weaker average prices.
Soybeans reclaimed their position as Brazil’s top export by value, totaling $42 billion in 11 months. The shift, however, reflects falling petroleum revenues rather than a surge in soy sales: oil exports dropped 4.3% to $40.8 billion, while soybean export value slipped a marginal 0.1%.
Across all sectors, Brazil exported $317.8 billion in the year to date, up 1.8% from 2024, with a 4.1% rise in volume offset by a 2.1% decline in average prices. China remained the top buyer at $92.9 billion (+4.2%), followed by the European Union ($45.4 billion, +0.6%) and the United States ($34.2 billion, –6.7%).
