In short:
Brazil’s coffee exports soared to an all-time high of 50 million 60-kg bags in 2024, marking a 28.5% increase from the previous year. The record-breaking performance was fueled by strong shipments of both Arabica and Conilon (Robusta) beans, overcoming persistent logistical bottlenecks at the country’s ports.
From July to December, covering the first half of the 2024/25 harvest cycle, Brazil exported 26.05 million bags, generating $7.17 billion in revenue—the highest ever recorded for this period.
The United States remained the top destination, importing 8.13 million bags, a 34% jump from 2023. Germany followed with 7.59 million bags (+51.3%), while Belgium saw the most significant surge, doubling its imports to 4.35 million bags (+96.4%). Demand from Asia also spiked, with China’s coffee imports skyrocketing by 364.8%, reflecting the region’s growing appetite for Brazilian coffee.
