Brazilian Ornamental Stone Exports Experience Second Consecutive Year of Decline in 2023

For the second consecutive year, Brazilian exports of ornamental stones experienced a downturn in 2023, according to data from the Brazilian Center for Ornamental Stone Exporters (Centrorochas).
Sales to international markets totaled $1.11 billion last year, marking a 13.4% decline compared to the $1.28 billion recorded in 2022.
Among the primary buyers, the United States continues to lead as the main destination for Brazilian natural stones exporters, retaining 54.7% of all shipments from this segment in the South American country. China (15.4%), Italy (7.16%), Mexico (5.11%), and the United Kingdom (1.8%) follow in this ranking.
